Softball Game Preview: Porter Ridge Pirates vs. Cuthbertson Cavaliers

The Porter Ridge Pirates will challenge the Cuthbertson Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Porter Ridge has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Porter Ridge came up short against Weddington on Tuesday, falling 13-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Cuthbertson got the win against Fort Mill on Wednesday by a conclusive 8-1. Considering the Cavaliers have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cuthbertson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Porter Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
