Basketball Recap: More Takes a Loss

More was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 63-51 to the Basis Independent Silicon Valley Bobcats. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bobcats 18-14 in the first quarter.

When it comes to explaining why More lost, don't look at Anthony Selway. Despite the final result, he posted 23 points along with seven boards and five assists. That's the most assists Selway has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Bumb, who had five points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

More now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Basis Independent Silicon Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.

More will take on Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. More is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.5 points per game this season. As for Basis Independent Silicon Valley, they will square off against Summit Shasta at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Basis Independent Silicon Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 matches -- so hopefully Summit Shasta likes a good challenge.
