It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Nashoba Valley Tech ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Mystic Valley Regional Eagles 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Eagles back in April, they had to take a 11-1 defeat.

Nashoba Valley Tech got a great performance from Shaun Barrett as he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chase Blaisdell, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

The win made it two in a row for Nashoba Valley Tech and bumps their season record up to 11-6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Mystic Valley Regional, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 12-6 record.

Looking ahead, Nashoba Valley Tech will take on Maimonides at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mystic Valley Regional, they will square off against Blue Hills RVT at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
