Volleyball Recap: Ingomar's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to 15

Ingomar had already won 14 in a row and they went ahead and made it 15 on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Regents Lions with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Ingomar not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Regents between 18 and 21 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 25-21.

Bella Phifer paced Ingomar's offense, picking up 16 kills. Phifer got some help from Abby Miller and her 25 assists. Daylen Grisham and Peyton Wray kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

When it comes to explaining why Regents lost, don't look at Maddie Niemeyer. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and four aces. Niemeyer is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 21 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Greer Smith was another key player, getting 16 digs.

Ingomar's victory bumped their record up to 28-4-1. As for Regents, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7.

Ingomar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against West Tallahatchie on the 4th. As for Regents, they will challenge Madison-Ridgeland Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
