Summit won the last time they faced Carter and things went their way on Wednesday too. The SkyHawks walked away with a 7-3 win over the Lions. That's two games straight that the SkyHawks have won by exactly four runs.

Summit got a great performance from Jysel Guerrero as she tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Guerrero has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alani Lopez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Karissa Pallan, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Summit is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Carter, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Summit didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-3 defeat against Grand Terrace on the 7th. As for Carter, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Kaiser on the 7th.
