Basketball Game Recap: Neosho Wildcats vs. Lebanon Yellowjackets

Neosho lost against Lebanon last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Neosho Wildcats might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 69-40 to the Lebanon Yellowjackets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 384th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 185th).

Leading Lebanon to victory were Morgan Durbin and Kendall Bybee. Durbin went 9 for 18 en route to 23 points and five boards, while Bybee went 5 of 8 on her way to 13 points. The dominant performance also gave Bybee a new career-high in assists (three). Mackenzie Perryman was another key player, putting up two points in addition to five assists and five steals.

Neosho's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Lebanon, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Neosho has already played their next game (against Lamar), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lebanon will head out to face off against Willard at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
