Recap: Buena Colts vs. Sunnyside Blue Devils
There's no place like home for the Buena Colts, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 79-72 victory over Sunnyside on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Buena got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamin Booker out in front who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Booker's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Jesus Pacheco was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds.
Buena is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Sunnyside, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buena will take on Ironwood Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ironwood Ridge is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Sunnyside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cesar Chavez at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Cesar Chavez's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 matches.
