Recap: Southern Valley Eagles vs. Overton Eagles
The Southern Valley Eagles's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 64-38 margin over Overton. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, as Southern Valley did.
Kamden Bose continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Southern Valley's points. Rian Grove was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eli Luther, who scored 12 points. The match was Luther's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock McCarter, who scored 7 points along with 4 blocks and 3 steals.
Southern Valley's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Overton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Southern Valley will head out on the road to face off against Gothenburg at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Overton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Anselmo-Merna on Tuesday.
