Lugoff-Elgin entered their matchup against River Bluff on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lugoff-Elgin Demons were dealt a 55-28 defeat at the hands of the River Bluff Gators. The Demons were down 45-19 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Lugoff-Elgin had strong showings from Teryn Hobson, who posted 11 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, and Jordan Samuel, who had seven points in addition to five rebounds and two steals. Lugoff-Elgin will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lower Richland at 6:00 p.m. Lower Richland will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lugoff-Elgin surely won't give up without a fight. As for River Bluff, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 94-37 defeat against Blythewood on the 6th.
