Basketball Game Preview: Flint Hills Christian Warriors vs. Onaga Buffaloes

Flint Hills Christian hasn't had much luck against Onaga recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Warriors will host the Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Flint Hills Christian saw some tournament action on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-43 win over Chanute Christian. The Warriors pushed the score to 52-29 by the end of the third, a deficit Chanute Christian cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Onaga took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 55-45 victory over Northern Heights. The win continues a trend for the Buffaloes in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Onaga's win came from a few key players Flint Hills Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Koy Nider, who posted 19 points along with eight assists and five boards. Those 19 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Kolterman, who put up ten points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

The victory got Flint Hills Christian back to even at 2-2. As for Onaga, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Flint Hills Christian came up short against Onaga when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 44-40.
