Basketball Game Preview: Albany Hornets vs. Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets

The Albany Hornets and the Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Albany is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Last Thursday, Albany escaped with a win against Prairieville by the margin of a single free throw, 40-39. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 265th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Mt. Hermon took a blow against Varnado on Thursday, falling 80-33. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Albany pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Mt. Hermon, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
