Baseball Recap: Louisville Gets the Win

Louisville posted their closest win since May 16, 2024 on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Lake Center Christian Tiger 8-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Leopards.

The team relied heavily on Cooper Rice, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Seaman, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Louisville now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lake Center Christian, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Louisville will square off against New Philadelphia at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Leopards 4, the Quakers 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Lake Center Christian, they will welcome Alliance at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Aviators will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Tiger surely won't give up without a fight.
