Classical Academy has won four straight games at home, while Bishop has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Caimans will welcome the Knights at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Classical Academy and Santa Fe Christian, and Classical Academy kept the tradition alive. The Caimans skirted past the Eagles 3-2. That's two games straight that the Caimans have won by just one run.

Adam Hukill tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He is becoming a predictor of Classical Academy's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 5-1 (and 3-10 when he doesn't).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Travis Perry, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Bishop's sidestepped La Jolla Country Day for a 7-5 win.
Clyde Kates made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. Kates was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.
Kates wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hugo Avila-Marquez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave Avila-Marquez a new career-high.
Bishop's is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.
Classical Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Bishop's in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 7-2. Do the Caimans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
