Volleyball Recap: Scott Takes a Loss

Scott lost against Holcomb on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Beavers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Longhorns.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18.

Peyton Gentry paced Scott's offense, picking up six kills. Gentry got some help from Kinleigh Wren and her eight assists.

Holcomb found their leader in sophomore Delilah Galliart, who had 13 digs and two assists. Galliart is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 13-21. As for Holcomb, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Scott and Holcomb will both be playing Cimarron the next time they take the court. The Longhorns will host the Bluejays at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Beavers will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
