North Rockland had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Clarkstown North Rams by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on 12 straight.
North Rockland had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-23.
Christian Obergfell paced North Rockland's offense, picking up 24 kills. Obergfell got some help from
Kenneth Koehler and his 53 assists. Finally,
Jaden Quezada kept North Rockland's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.
