Basketball Recap: Dewitt Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

DeWitt had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwest Mounties on Friday.

Northwest found their leader in freshman Roe-Darrel DeDeaux II, who shot 42% from the field en route to 22 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Hill, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 12 points and five boards.

Northwest has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. DeWitt will head out to challenge Grand Ledge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Northwest, they will challenge Adrian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
