Baseball Recap: Head-Royce Sets Scoring Season-High Against Redwood Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Head-Royce). They blew past the Redwood Christian Eagles 20-1 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Judah Forst made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, earning two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaden Choi, who went 4-for-5 with ten RBI, four runs, and two triples. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Evan Friedman was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs.

Head-Royce kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Head-Royce is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Redwood Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10-1.

Head-Royce will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
