Volleyball Recap: Lara Garcia Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Academy-Notre Dame De Namur, Perkiomen School was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the George School Cougars 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 11th.

One reason for the win was Perkiomen School's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 25-13.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Perkiomen School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lara Garcia, who had five digs and two aces. Garcia is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Pratt, who had four aces and three digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Perkiomen School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last four matchups.

Perkiomen School moved to 8-6-1 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak. As for George School, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Perkiomen School will head out to face off against Academy of the New Church at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. George School has already played their next contest (against Shipley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
