Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Cherokee County's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Cherokee County won the last time they faced Oxford and Ellisan Givens did her part to make sure it happened again. The Warriors skirted past the Yellow Jackets 2-1 for which the team can thank Givens, who had 14 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Cherokee County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-7-1 record this season. As for Oxford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Looking ahead, Cherokee County will look to defend their home court on Monday against Cedar Bluff at 5:00 p.m. As for Oxford, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Alexandria on the 2nd.
