East Duplin waltzed into their contest on Thursday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Heide Trask Titans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

East Duplin had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-20.

East Duplin was led to victory by Lauren Cottle and Karsyn Parker. Cottle had 14 assists and four digs, while Parker had 13 digs and two assists. What's more, Parker posted two kills, the most she's had since back in September.

East Duplin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in eight consecutive matchups.

East Duplin's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Heide Trask, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.
