Basketball Recap: Saint Francis Catholic's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Saint Francis Catholic had lost six straight headed into Tuesday's contest, but Allie Dey didn't let it get to seven. The Saint Francis Catholic Wolves took down the Cedar Key Sharks 39-24 on Tuesday thanks in part to Dey, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last five games she's played.

Faith Fariborzian was another key player, putting up ten points and eight steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in November of 2023.

Saint Francis Catholic's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6. As for Cedar Key, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Saint Francis Catholic will take on Chiefland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cedar Key, they will head out to challenge Bell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
