Softball Game Preview: Liberty Leopards vs. Hubbard Eagles

Liberty is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Hubbard a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Liberty Leopards will be playing at home against the Hubbard Eagles at 5:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Liberty didn't have quite enough to beat LaBrae and fell 5-4.

Meanwhile, Hubbard earned an 11-7 win over Ursuline on Tuesday.

Layla Songer was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emalee Warren, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Hubbard was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hubbard, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
