Vasquez entered their tilt with St. Genevieve on Wednesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 76-68 victory over the Valiants.

Vasquez got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gavin Battey out in front who shot 80% from the field en route to 18 points along with six boards and three steals. Daeron Bankett was another key player, dropping a double-double with 19 points and ten assists.

Vasquez's record now sits at 6-4. As for St. Genevieve, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, Vasquez will square off against St. Monica Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Genevieve, they will take on Schurr at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
