Baseball Game Preview: Roosevelt Roughriders vs. Timnath Cubs

The Roosevelt Roughriders will challenge the Timnath Cubs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Roosevelt is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

Roosevelt is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Greeley West with a sharp 17-4 victory on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Roughriders.

Kayden Bryant was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Mason Sauer was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Roosevelt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greeley West only posted an OBP of .280.

Meanwhile, Timnath came up short against Poudre on Thursday and fell 6-3. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Timnath saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brodyn Pafford, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another was Bryson Dewey, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Timnath now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Roosevelt, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.
