Soccer Game Preview: St. Mary's Academy vs. Wichita HomeSchool

The St. Mary's Academy Crusaders will face off against the Wichita HomeSchool Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.

On Thursday, St. Mary's Academy got the win against Cair Paravel by a conclusive 6-2. St. Mary's Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Cair Paravel from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Titus Varnado led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Wichita HomeSchool's offense. They lost 8-0 to Southeast last Monday. Wichita HomeSchool haven't had much luck with Southeast recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

St. Mary's Academy pushed their record up to 7-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matches. As for Wichita HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
