Volleyball Recap: Century Comes Up Short

Century was the 2-0 winner over Mounds View when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs on Saturday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14.

Laney Stellmaker paced Century's offense, picking up five kills. Stellmaker really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Century's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Mounds View, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-9.

Century has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Faribault on the 7th. As for Mounds View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against East Ridge on the 7th.
