Baseball Preview: Jefferson Jaguars vs. Edina Hornets
The Jefferson Jaguars will square off against the Edina Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Jefferson is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Last Thursday, Jefferson came up short against St. Louis Park and fell 11-8.
Ethan Agre was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Isaac Feller, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Edina and St. Michael-Albertville, and St. Michael-Albertville kept the tradition alive. The Hornets fell just short of the Knights by a score of 6-5 on Friday.
