Softball Recap: Sealy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Sealy entered their tilt with Danbury on Thursday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Danbury Panthers. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 7-3 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2019.

Kimberlee Aguirre looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent over her last five games.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jaylyn Packebush, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kali Bradford, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Sealy's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Danbury, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Sealy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 loss against Hallettsville on the 27th. As for Danbury, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers duke it out with the Cougars at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
