It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mansfield Summit had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Ellison Eagles by a score of 48-40. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-45 back in December of 2024.

Mansfield Summit has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points over those games. The defeat snapped Ellison's winning streak at 15 games and leaves them with a 30-6 record.

Looking ahead, Mansfield Summit will square off against Fort Bend Marshall at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Fort Bend Marshall will roll in looking for their 23rd straight win, something Mansfield Summit surely won't give up without a fight. Ellison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
