Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Halifax Trojans vs. Weldon Chargers

The Southeast Halifax Trojans will square off against the Weldon Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast Halifax has now lost 13 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 3.

Last Friday, Southeast Halifax was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to Rocky Mount Prep.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 23-23 at halftime, Weldon was not quite Warren County's equal in the second half on Friday. They took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. While the Chargers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 11-7 in the first quarter.

Southeast Halifax's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Weldon, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Southeast Halifax couldn't quite finish off Weldon in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 and fell 41-38. Can Southeast Halifax avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
