After only two runs in their last matchup, Central Heights made sure to put some runs up on the board against Northeast on Thursday. Central Heights blew past Northeast 12-2. Considering Central Heights has won ten contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kreig Garrett was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kord Stroup was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Knox Cannady was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Central Heights' record now sits at 15-3. As for Northeast, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Central Heights beat Northeast by a score of 9-5 later that day.
