Volleyball Recap: South Anchorage Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

South Anchorage had won five straight on the road, but on Saturday they bumped up to 34-3-1 to make it six. They came out on top against the Dimond Lynx by a score of 2-0. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-1 victory on October 3rd.

South Anchorage can attribute much of their success to Miley Monahan, who had 11 digs. That's the most digs Monahan has posted since back in November of 2024.

As for Dimond, they moved to 26-10-1 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-match winning streak. Considering the last time they couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Despite the loss, Dimond still got an impressive performance from Elena Snow, who had 14 digs.

Dimond wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Chugiak on the 25th. Hopefully South Anchorage paid attention to the Lynx's match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Lynx at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
