Soccer Recap: Edison Comes Up Short

Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sayreville Bombers. Edison were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sayreville apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Edison's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for Sayreville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Looking ahead, Edison will venture away from home to square off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Thomas Aquinas will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Edison surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sayreville, they will challenge Perth Amboy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
