Baseball Recap: 19 Straight Home Victories for St. Cloud Cathedral

While St. Cloud Cathedral's win against Duluth East wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crusaders' pitchers stepped up to hand the Greyhounds a 2-0 shutout on Friday. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Greyhounds, too.

St. Cloud Cathedral pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for Duluth East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

St. Cloud Cathedral wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-6 victory against Albany on the 2nd. As for Duluth East, they have also already played their next game, a 5-1 loss against New Ulm on the 2nd.
