Basketball Recap: Kemp Takes a Loss

Kemp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Canton Eagles and fell 77-22. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-12.

Emma Bailey was Kemp's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Bailey also led the team in rebounds with eight.

Kemp's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Canton, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Kemp will take on Mabank at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Mabank will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Kemp surely won't give up without a fight. As for Canton, they will challenge Athens at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Canton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
