Basketball Recap: Dyer County Comes Up Short

Dyer County was the 69-55 winner over Peabody when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dyer County Choctaws came up short against the Peabody Golden Tide on Monday, falling 70-49. While losing is never fun, the Choctaws can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Golden Tide are ranked 38th).

Dyer County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Peabody, their record now sits at 15-2.

Dyer County has already played their next game (against South Gibson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Peabody didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 74-68 defeat against Huntingdon on the 14th.
