Baseball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin managed to slip by Eastlake the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars came up short against the Falcons on Thursday, falling 13-4. The Cougars' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Franklin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DANTE CORRAL, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 7-20-1. As for Eastlake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-15.

Franklin and Eastlake could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Cougars will face off against Pebble Hills at 6:30 p.m. on the 25th with a big rank disadvantage (786 vs. 284). Meanwhile, Eastlake (ranked 420th) will meet Coronado (ranked 141st) at 6:30 p.m. on the 25th.
