Arianna Figueroa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.

Mountain View's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 18-5. As for Canyon del Oro, they pushed their record up to 23-3 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
