Baseball Recap: Wheatland Snags Ninth Victory in Last Ten Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seneca, Wheatland was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Montrose Blue Jays a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Mules have won 21 matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Wheatland is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.4 runs. As for Montrose, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Wheatland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-5 victory against Lighthouse Christian on the 15th. As for Montrose, they have also already played their next match, a 10-6 loss against Liberal on the 16th.
