While Metro Christian's victory against Vinita wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Metro Christian had just enough and edged out Vinita 9-8 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won six contests in a row.

Metro Christian pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Vinita, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Metro Christian is taking a road trip to square off against Berryhill at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Vinita, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Glenpool at 4:30 p.m. Vinita's pitchers better be ready for this one: Glenpool has averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
