Volleyball Recap: Sara Snowbarger and Baylie Hahn Secure Win for Wooster

Wooster won the last time they faced Mansfield Senior and things went their way on Thursday too. The Generals put the hurt on the Tygers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Generals.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Wooster took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-9, 25-10.

Leading Wooster to victory were Baylie Hahn and Sara Snowbarger. Hahn had eight digs and eight aces, while Snowbarger hit 90% for 18 kills and three aces and one assist. Snowbarger is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had nine or more in each of the last 27 games she's played dating back to last season.

They weren't the only good server: Wooster was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 27 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

Wooster's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Mansfield Senior, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Wooster and Mansfield Senior will both be playing New Philadelphia the next time they take the court. The Tygers will head out to face the Quakers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Generals will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
