Sedro-Woolley will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Burlington-Edison, who they had gone 0-7-2 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cubs never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Tuesday. Give Sedro-Woolley's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Mount Vernon won against Blaine on Saturday with one goal and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Tuesday. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out Nooksack Valley 1-0. The victory continues a trend for Mount Vernon in their matchups with Nooksack Valley: they've now won three in a row.

Mount Vernon now has a winning record of 5-4-4. As for Sedro-Woolley, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
