Baseball Recap: Saugatuck Takes a Loss

Saugatuck fell victim to Hamilton and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawkeyes. The defeat continues a trend for the Trailblazers in their meetings with the Hawkeyes: they've now lost three in a row.

Saugatuck saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cass Stanberry, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Saugatuck's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. Hamilton has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Saugatuck will be playing at home against Hartford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hamilton, they will take on Spring Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Hamilton's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
