Softball Recap: Trinity Prep Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Trinity Prep hadn't done well against Bishop Moore recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Saints were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over the Hornets. The victory was familiar territory for the Saints, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Trinity Prep got a massive performance out of Mercer Wilson, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave Wilson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Hartung, who went 4-for-5 with five runs and two doubles.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Trinity Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Trinity Prep's record now sits at 4-6. As for Bishop Moore, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Prep will host Lake Highland Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Moore, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Foundation Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
