Basketball Recap: Danvers' Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Danvers posted their biggest win since January 11th on Wednesday. They blew past the Ipswich Tigers 36-11. The victory was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Danvers can attribute much of their success to Kayda Brown, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points and three steals. Jane Koulopoulos was another key player, putting up six points.

The win got Danvers back to even at 1-1. As for Ipswich, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Danvers will welcome Winthrop at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ipswich, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Newburyport at 6:30 p.m.
