The Legacy Lightning will head out on the road to take on the Broomfield Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.

Legacy is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Horizon just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They and the Hawks finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw. The result kept Legacy happy, as they haven't lost a game since March 6th.

Their goal came courtesy of Emma Smedley, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Broomfield kept a clean sheet against Monarch on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Coyotes. The game marked Broomfield's most dominant victory of the season.

Broomfield is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those five contests. Legacy's draw makes their record 8-1-2 this season.

Legacy skirted past Broomfield 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Lightning repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
