Baseball Recap: Rancho Alamitos' Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Rancho Alamitos won the last time they faced Western and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Vaqueros put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 6-0 win. The Vaqueros not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 28th (when they won 17-1).

Henry Garcia was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Rancho Alamitos is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-9 otherwise. Garcia was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Daniel Martinez was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Carson Labossiere was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Rancho Alamitos' victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11. As for Western, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Rancho Alamitos will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pioneers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
