Basketball Recap: Eastbrook Triumphs

If Wes-Del wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Eastbrook, they should've done a better job of containing Kaiden Jones. The Panthers strolled past the Warriors with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 65-46 for which the team can thank Jones, who went 6-for-10 en route to 19 points and three steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Bodie Howell, who posted seven points along with six boards and three steals. Eastbrook is undefeated when Howell posts three or more steals, but 5-8 otherwise.

Wes-Del lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Luke Woodyard, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Luzadder, who earned five points.

Eastbrook now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Wes-Del, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Eastbrook wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 57-42 victory against Tri-Central on the 14th. As for Wes-Del, they will head out on the road to take on Blue River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
