Basketball Recap: Momence Wins Going Away Against Donovan

Momence's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Donovan Wildcats as the Momence Momence Athletics made off with a 69-44 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-8.

D'Angelo Hundley had an outrageously good game as he to rack up 20 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Erick Castillo was another key player, en route to 13 points and four steals.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brendan Hennieke, who on his way to 15 points and five boards. Hennieke is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Preston Harrington-Dewitt, who posted nine points and eight rebounds.

Momence's record now sits at 10-16. As for Donovan, they dropped their record down to 6-22 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Momence has already played their next contest, a 67-48 loss against Hoopeston on the 24th. As for Donovan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 69-53 win against Blue Ridge on the 20th.
