 Scripps Ranch was the  8-3 winner over Mt. Carmel when they last played one another  back in April of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Scripps Ranch Falcons wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 9-2 walloping at the hands of the Mt. Carmel Sundevils on Tuesday. Scripps Ranch has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Scripps Ranch saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jesse Dawson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-4.
 On Mt. Carmel's side,  Carson Weis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned runs on six hits.
 On the hitting side,  Connor Bananal was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-4.  Dylan Le was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
 Scripps Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Mt. Carmel, they pushed their record up to 5-6 with that  win, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Scripps Ranch will  take on Classical Academy at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Classical Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.1  runs per game this season. As for Mt. Carmel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bonita Vista at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Bonita Vista's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9  runs per game  this season, so Mt. Carmel's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
